Kayak Day Trips
(11 to18 years old)
Some of the greatest fun that you can have with a kayak is to explore local rivers, play in safe gently moving water and go for a journey. These kayak day trips achieve all of these. The trips are of varying standards and only appropriate for people who have attained the minimum BCU award specified. They will count towards the journeys required for your progression through the PaddlePower awards.
For all of the journeys, participants must have a complete change of clothes, a packed lunch, a drink and a towel. All trips will leave HYMB promptly at the time specified (we do not have time to wait for latecomers). We have included a guide to the time that we will return to the Base. However, you will be advised of the actual time of return when you register on the day. (The Destination of the day trip may change at short notice.)
