The course is designed to allow successful candidates to deliver archery sessions in activity centres, schools, colleges, holiday parks and places like that.
It’s a 2.5-day course (2 days of training followed by an external assessment) that gets you to a Governing Body Standard and awards you a certificate that shows your competence to lead Archery sessions.
The course will be running on the following days you will be required to attend all dates
23rd April 18.00-21.00
24th April 09.00- 17.00
25th April 09.00- 17.00
It covers things like:
Establishing and maintaining safety on a range
Using a session plan to prepare and deliver a session
Identifying appropriate equipment for beginners to use
Explaining/demonstrating the simple steps to shooting barebow
Using engagement, variety and challenge to make sessions fun
Adapting sessions based on the individual needs of participants
It’s pretty much all practical work and is suitable for existing archers and also those who have only seen a bow on T.V.
